Modern Literary Papers in the University of Exeter Library: a Guide
by Jessica Gardner and Ian Mortimer

Since its inception, the University of Exeter Library has been gradually collecting literary papers, mainly from writers associated with the south west of England. A variety of major literary figures, and figures of lesser standing but considerable interest, have lived and worked in the region and found inspiration amongst and from its landscapes. This volume of analytical descriptions is intended to stimulate use and promote the significance of Exeter's literary archive collections, from John Betjeman to Daphne du Maurier, from Agatha Christie to A. L. Rowse.

Published by the University of Exeter, Library and Information Service, 2003.

Entries by Ian Mortimer include those on R. D. Blackmore, Agatha Christie, Daphne du Maurier, James Farrar, Ted Hughes, John Masefield, A. L. Rowse, Denton Welch, Jan Mills Whitham and Henry Williamson (amongst others).
